It’s being reported that the Detroit City council and Mayor Bing are planning a meeting on Tuesday, July 27 2010, to discuss Hollywood’s new series called Detroit 1-8-7. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what the series will be focusing on and some of the city council and Mayor Bing are throwing tantrums just thinking about it. It seems the good mayor and his merry band of miscreants are worried about the cities image.

By the way, Kwame Kilpatrick, the former Mayor of Detroit was moved to another prison the other day, into the general population to serve out the rest of his time for, well, all sorts of felonious crap.

Anyway, back to the image thing. Mayor Bing has already put a stop to the cities relationship with the popular A&E channels ‘The First 48′, a show that follows cops around during their investigations. I for one am a fan of the program, having spent years on the street as a cop elsewhere in this great country of ours. There was an incident where a flim crew from The First 48 was on hand when a Detroit SWAT team member accidentally shot a kid, killing her, while performing a raid on a house. They had received a tip that a person of interest was hiding at the location and that person wasn’t one of Detroit’s finer examples of Motown Men.

Mayor Bing also sacked the Police Chief recently, apparently the chief was considering another reality show to star in and took part in a shoot showing him carrying assault rifles and talking tough to the camera, again, not a good image for the fair city of Detroit. Chief Evans is a one-time political opponent of Mayor Bing, wink wink nudge nudge say no more…

Oh, so far in the last few weeks, we’ve had 3 police officers shot and killed while on duty. The last one was killed just yesterday while investigating a possible home invasion robbery in Taylor, or maybe it was a domestic…regardless, the young man who IS one of Detroit’s finer examples of Motown Men, died….Number 3.

Ok, sorry…Mayor Bing and the city council find that these shows shine a bad light on Detroit. Unemployment is at what, around 22%? Businesses are closing up shop daily and students in the Detroit Public School system are still failing to graduate…choosing the streets over higher education.

Mayor Bing and the Detroit City Council think these crime dramas and crime reality shows are just plain icky. Hollywood should focus on the good of Detroit, like….give me a minute.

GOT IT! We have a cruise thing every August, guys and gals in really cool vintage muscle cars drive up and down Woodward…they should like, make a sitcom about that or something….old fat balding guys driving fast cars, what a bloody hoot huh?

Eh, that would be too white me thinks….wait, they could make a movie about….no they couldn’t, never mind.

Anyway, I’m going to be Googling for awhile me thinks. This is harder than I thought…but I’ll leave you with this:

When I was a wee child, my mother used to task me with sweeping the hallways that led to the living room. A rug runner ran down the middle, so being the industrious and freakishly intelligent youngster I was, I’d sweep all the dirt under the rug, hiding it from my mothers steely gaze…that’d show her.

Well, I unfortunately grew up and trying to sweep dirt under a rug these days just doesn’t work, the wife is smarter than I am and has better aim than my mother.

It won’t work for Bing and freak show either.

Mayor Bing and his Merry Band of Miscreants need to grow up and quit throwing these bitch sessions when more important tasks are at hand. Quit acting like a bunch of whiney-ass schoolgirls and do what you were elected to do, govern Detroit.

Excuse me if this post needs a lot of editing, my editor is asleep in the other room snoring like a lumberjack, I think she needs one of those nosejobs or sumpthin…

There’s a buzz about the Internet that BO, the First Mutt, traveled to Maine aboard his own aircraft during Obama’s latest vacation away from the White House….or his latest vacation away from his vacation. Well, it’s my duty as a conscientious blogger to set the record straight.

First of all, the rag that first reported on the story, The Morning Sentinel, from somewhere in Maine, reported on Saturday July 17th that before the Obamas arrived at the airport, BO, the First Dog arrived via another aircraft with his handler. It was one of those feel good stories…ahh, the dog got to the airport. I feel better now. Anyway, soon the Internet was filled with rantings about wasteful spending and taxpayers footing the bill for the damn dogs travels….on his own damn aircraft.

I can understand the anger, I’m hip to the whole conservative thing, but the dog didn’t travel alone, so quit the bitch slapping. The paper clarified the story:

Clarification: Today’s story about the arrival of the Obamas said the Obama’s dog and one aide arrived on a small jet before the First Family, but there were other occupants on the plane, including several other staffers. The presidential party took two small jets to the Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport in Trenton because the airport was too small to accommodate the president’s usual jet.

See? There were other staffers on the damn airplane, quitcher bitching!

OK, so there was a pilot and co-pilot. It’s ill advised to fly a passenger jet without a bloody pilot and co-pilot, everyone knows that! Planes tend to corkscrew into the ground without them. If you weren’t sleeping during science class, you’d understand the laws of gravity ya dumbass.

It’s a well known fact amongst the flying community that flying an aircraft, especially a passenger aircraft, without a pilot and co-pilot is bad form.

In addition to the pilot and co-pilot, other staffers were on board. They were:

Bert: Dog Psychologist
Tammy: Dog Groomer
Pierre: Dog Chef
Fi Fi: Dog…er…Assistant
Chad: Dog Walker

So, before you get your right-winged panties all in a bunch, every story has more to it than meets the eye.

Now, go buy a Chevy Volt. Someone has to counter all this presidential carbon.

Mmmm hmmm….that’s right. Ya moron. The continued abuse of our borders is costing states like Arizona billions of dollars a year. To put it into context ya fuck, that’s a whole shitload of green fees….tee up ya bastid.

With fear of Tea Parties at an all time high within the Lame Stream Media, it’s funny that you’ll see little to no coverage of protesters during the May Day 2010 and Immigrant Rights marchers rioting in the streets of Santa Cruz, California. Maybe they fear seeing the faces of their own children firebombing businesses or tossing rocks and bricks through storefronts, who bloody knows. Anyway, here’s a video of those “protesters” vandalizing businesses along the march route.
