This old theme appears to be broken in Internet Explorer…shock of all shocks. People, do the planet a favor and ditch Internet Explorer for Firefox…or at least Google Chrome.
You’re killing small critters using IE, spanking babies and destroying the ozone….shame on you.
AHA! I just figured out why some YouTube videos fail to launch while in Internet Explorer 8. Apparently when you purchase a new machine like this one, the Internet Explorer pinned to the start menu is the 64bit version of IE8. Since this is a 64bit Windows 7 laptop it defaulted to the 64bit version and what do ya know, Flash 10.3 isn’t compatible with 64bit machines. Unbeknownst to me, the 32bit version of IE8 is included, but not pinned to the start menu.
So everything works with this old theme…which I like…a lot. I’ll obviously have to change it one day, but I haven’t found a theme that I even remotely like..so, there ya go.
IE8 is still a boatload of fail and I don’t understand why people are still using it. There are better alternatives. Consider trying Firefox/Chrome/Safari….you won’t be disappointed.
Toodles…
