DEWEY WINS!…No…wait

I was just over at Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government where Andrew has posted a piece about the MSM and it’s quick response to the James O’Keefe story out of Louisiana. He mentions in so many words that the MSM; MSNBC, NBC, ABC and various print media have leaped off the hack journalism spring board into that murky pool of sensationalistic reporting. No doubt that in the coming days, the MSM maniacs will have done another header, this time possibly suffering a head injury not survivable.

Like the parasites they are, the MSM will latch onto a host and suck as much as they can from the rotting news corpse, assumption and speculation feeding upon itself until the last ounce of filth is consumed. It’s business as usual for them. The most entertaining part of a circus like this is when the truth comes out and they’re outed as the paint-chip chewing crack addicts they are, center stage and in front of the American public.

I can see only one thing wrong with this analogy. Unfortunately no one really watches or reads the MSM, opting for finding their news on Fox News and various sites like that of Big Government, Weekly Standard et al.

I’ve read in a number of places over the last few hours that this little brainfart on the part of James O’Keefe will harm the conservative push for the removal of corruption in Washington. Well, that may be true to some extent as anything illegal should be viewed as wrong, but how long did that story about the then Governor of Alaska and republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s email hack-job last?

David Kernall, the son of Tennessee Democratic legislator Mike Kernall no less, hacked into Sarah Palin’s Yahoo email account, taking private conversations and spreading them all over the hacker universe. That lasted oh..how long…a week or two on the MSM? Mr. Kernell’s faux pas was an actual crime…we haven’t the slightest idea if Mr. O’Keefe violated anything but common sense.

That hasn’t kept the MSM from reporting that Mr. O’Keefe has been arrested for wire tapping ad nauseam. One of those is the Washington Post hack Carol Leonnig, who as Andrew Breitbart points out in his column, had to apologize for stating that Mr. O’Keefe’s expose of ACORN was motivated by racism. I can only think that Carol Leonnig suffers from a severe head injury as she’s pretty much done it again, jumping to conclusions and stating that Mr. O’Keefe has been arrested for bugging Senator Mary Landrieu’s office….

Uh no, he hasn’t. He’s been arrested for unlawfully entering a federal building and attempting to interfere with the telephone system.

If he and his accomplices were arrested with wiretapping equipment in their possession, then I’ll eat my words. I’ll go out on a limb here and say they weren’t. In order for them to be charged with illegal wiretapping, the government will have to prove intent, without wiretapping equipment in their possession, guess what? You got it sparky, no intent.

So I guess we’ll have to wait a little bit. Until the story comes out, let’s see how much damage to journalism the MSM freakshow can do. With carnival barkers like Madcow and that failure of a sportscaster Olbermann, things should get pretty interesting.

I can’t wait for Senator Mary Landrieu’s office to issue a statement, but as I understand it, Landrieu’s office is busy shredding paperwork and erasing phone messages…..but I’m sure they’ll issue something soon.

Another thing, it’s fascinating that 3 guys dressed up as telephone repairmen are getting more press time than the POTUS….It must be driving him nuts…
