Obama: Veterans To Pay For Service Related Injuries?
LIBERAL TERRORISM ATTACKS THE VA

Liberal Terrorism Attacks Veterans
It was revealed yesterday (03.12.09) that the Obama administration seeks to charge veterans for service related injuries, using their private insurance to pay for treatments. Obama’s insults towards the active and former members of our nations military started with the refusal to prosecute those responsible for the terrorist attack on the USS Cole (DDG 67) which resulted in the deaths of 17 of her crew. This obviously insulting take on our military continues with the Obama administration’s startling disclosure yesterday , not by design apparently, of plans to dip its socialistic talons into the pockets of those that serve and have served this country in time of peace and conflict.

General Shinseki, Secretary of Veterans Affairs
The new Secretary of Veterans Affairs, General Eric Shinseki (ret); a Nam veteran who was wounded by a landmine during operations with Company A, 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division, is apparently taking this absurd and treasonous idea into consideration. When General Shinseki received medical attention for his service related injury in 1966 at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii, I seriously doubt he worried about receiving subsequent medical care and the cost of such. It is this authors opinion that Obama’s and Shinseki’s consideration of this policy change is not only insulting but treasonous.
To ask our young and old service members to pay out of pocket for medical treatment after serving this country in heroic fashion is disgusting.
Having personally witnessed the roller coaster ride the VA seems to gleefully incorporate into their operating procedures, not once but three times for wounds suffered during combat operations in Iraq, this is nothing short of sticking a bayonet into the back of US service members, adding a bit of a twist at the end for added effect.
Mr. Barack Hussein Obama and Mr. Shinseki, I already PAID IN FULL, as did others who sacrificed so much for this country. Even the idea that you’d consider such a policy shift makes my skin crawl.
I don’t often kudo any politician, but one must go out to Senator Patty Murray, D-Washington State. Sen Murray has made it known that she’d shoot down any legislation that would force veterans to pay for service related medical treatment. She may be a liberal terrorist of sorts, but at least she respects those of us who have served the country.
Why the Secretary of Veterans Affairs Mr. Shinseki, a combat veteran and a holder of the George himself, didn’t do the same when the Obama administration proposed the idea is troubling to say the least. Is General Shinseki a “sellout”? Is it politically expedient for General Shinseki?
It’s pathetic and simply mystifies me.
Even more, where’s the outrage from the American public? The men and women who keep you in suv’s, lattes and in a bubble of freedom few in this world can lay claim to are being insulted and tossed aside like yesterday’s trash. Your silence is a testament of your apathy, many of you just don’t care. As long as it’s someone else who has to take the burden of fighting our wars, who act as a backstop to the bullets of those who hate our country, it’s ok by you, but you won’t take that extra step and support them.
Oh sure, you’ll piss and moan about an unjust war but when the soldiers, airmen, sailors and marines who protect your apathetic ass 24/7 and 365 days a year need your support, you bury your head behind the doors of your hovels, the very same hovels those servicemen and women protect, enabling you to sleep comfortable at night knowing they’re on the job. Furthermore, regardless of what you do or don’t do, they’ll still do what they do; what they’ve taken an oath to which is to protect you and this nation from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We don’t ask you for any special favors, we haven’t asked you to do anything that hasn’t been the norm since Lincoln organized the VA…but now apparently as evidenced by your silence, those of us who have been wounded in battle mean nothing to you. If this policy goes into effect, veterans will find it even more difficult to find a job after leaving active duty. Do you honestly think those who hire workers will hire us knowing that it’s going to cost more to insure us? The unemployment rates of those returning from military service are much higher than that of the civilian population already. Do you understand that by adopting this policy, there’s a chance of maxing out our coverage leaving our spouses and children without medical coverage.
We bled for this country and many of us left more than just memories behind in lands that can only be described as hell. We did it wearing an American flag on our sleeves, but now America is ignoring the needs of those who proudly serve her. That folks, hurts more than the wounds we suffered.
Obama, you couldn’t possibly know how much I wish you, your policies and your administration to fail in a way that would rival that of past 1000 year political failures.
To be quite honest, a big steaming pile of Yak shit is more appealing as a head of state than you are.

Thanks for the input. Nice edge to it. I like the nom de guerre Tovarisch. From my experience, 28 years in the Army, it is always the officers that screw the soldiers. Somehow I convinced myself Shinseki was different.

I tried to stay on the side of "good taste"…but, uh, ya know.
